What do you love about yourself?
Let’s pretend for a moment you were seeing yourself in a television series. Watch yourself interacting with the other characters. Read what your character writes about in their journal. Even when others are in the scene, you find you are captivated by your own character. Why? What strikes interest in your character? What is complicated, mysterious, and lovable about your character? What do you admire in him or her? What draws your attention and motivates you to root for their success? What is attractive about him or her? What qualities do others overlook and you wonder how?
February is typically focused on love with Valentine’s Day and people we admire for amazing achievements for Black History Month. In addition to loving and respecting others, I invite you to do the same for yourself this month.
Focusing on the topic of self-love, join me in jotting down a word, sentence, or paragraph complimenting ourselves each day this month.
In today’s #makeitmonday demo, I’m sharing one suggestion to set yourself up for success with this challenge - a journal spread to capture your thoughts. In the video below, I’ve created a spread to spark your creative juices. Naturally, feel free to use this style or create your own! After all, this month IS about you.
