Looking for a holiday brunch meal idea? I love making charcuterie boards mainly for the art aspect. I pick my ingredients for color and hope they taste good too πŸ˜‰ So when I saw a recipe for two of my favorite things – breakfast food and charcuterie, I was in!!

Arranging the food on the board becomes and art project for me so when I saw this recipe for a breakfast spin on a charcuterie board. This is the link to the original recipe by the incredible resource, Half Baked Harvest.

In this video, I’ll share my spin on the ingredients, demonstrate the arrangement and tips for creating your own.

This is the prep I did for this recipe prior to the video:

  • Wash all fruits and veggies (even if you don’t usually do this, hello corona) I use water with a splash of vinegar then let them air dry.

  • Put cheese in freezer for about 30 minutes, then sliced. (helps make it less sticky to cut, especially for soft cheeses)

  • Fry or bake bacon

  • Fry Turkey Canadian bacon

  • Wash boards

  • Make Caprese bruschetta topping - mozzarella pearls, basil, roasted red peppers, cherry tomatos, italian seasoning, olive oil

  • Gather small containers that I could choose from if needed for assembly

  • Line countertop with plastic wrap under boards to make for easy wrapping post assembly (do this only if traveling with board after assembly)

Pleast note, if you live in Indianapolis, Indiana, disregard all of the above and order your adorable, custom charcuterie board from my friend Molly at Spring and Plate:)
