Thank You Cards: 3 Ways

Continuing in the spirt of gratitude this #makeitmonday, when is the last time you wrote a thank you note? An actual note, not a text or sending a thank you bitmogi?

I'm certainly guilty of not spending as much effort in this area as I could. Recently I read an article about Nancy Davis Kho, author of "The Thank You Project." She wrote a thank you card each week for a year! Her note recipients included people, and even places, that had affected her life. She even wrote to Oakland, her old bosses, and ex-boyfriends. She'd detail the life lessons she learned from them in each note and send in the mail if she could, or wanted to do so. Simliar to what we've experienced through vision journaling workshops, she said the most imporant part to her was the writing process itself. "Each time she sat down to think about what to put down on paper, she felt an instant sense of calm."

Although I'm not suggesting we all take on 52 notes in 2021, how about we start with a few more thank you notes? If you'd like to write the note and not send it, like a few of Nancy's, those could be great additions to your vision journal as well. To encourage all of us (myself included) to express gratitude this season, this week's demonstration includes three ways to make thank you cards at home.
